Most of these songs were written in the year 2015 according to the Christian calendar--or the year 5775, according to the Jewish Calendar. Time is a strange and elusive thing, so the attempt to pin it down with the use of a calendar is--I think--pretty suspect. Nevertheless, I wanted to communicate that I feel some distance from these songs now--that they are 'a few years old'. These songs represent a time of transition to me--which, I suppose, all times of life are. I hope they will bring their listeners some enjoyment as they transition from this moment to the next.
